Right. Thanks. I walk tested them all around our storefront location and
they
were fine. Put it on him and the audio was OK, dicey or turned to shit
with
data bursts. I've never heard THAT sort of problem. I had two wireless
running, both in the same block, set appropriately apart.. No problem with
the other.

I can't explain the physics of it but I think we all have encountered
individuals who seem to "suck" rf up. I don't completely understand it, but
it's as though there are a few individuals who's body composition or
whatever it might be make RF difficult. Anyone else have this happen?

Hi Charles, Yes I had a similar situation with a person who seemed to
suck up RF as you call it. Some years ago i was doing a corporate
where we had to do each scene in two languages (english and french).
We had an English speaker and a French speaker, short walk and talk,
same setup, identical RFs (I forget what units, might have been Sonys.
This was a few years ago). the English guy's take worked fine,
switched actors, French actor: dropout city. Tried moving the TX
around still variable results. No cell phones involved. When I lifted
the TX away from his body, reception was fine. Much jollity ensued
about having the "Francais filter" on. I wasn't amused. The Anglo guy
was fairly slim, the Franco more, shall I say, robust. a bit sweaty
under the lights. Eventually place the TX in his front suit pocket and
we made it through (couldn't boom it by the way because of the shot).
I remember reading somewhere on this group about the eloctrolyte
factor in RF transmission. Sweat?
Cheers, Chris Newton
