Re: eBay: Nagra T-Audio two-track mastering deck

Funny thing is a HHB PDR 2000 just sold on E Bay for $2,800. Nagra T
going for $2802.00 right now.

Ray, Analogue does have a place, but today's digital and very good
converters give an 'actual' sound closer to the source than our tape
machines did. We have been impacted by the phyical media and what it
did to the source that was printed on it for all these years. The
days of 'harsh digital' come from earlier bit rates and sample rates.
There is a beauty to hearing something run across a 24 track
headstack, just don't run it too many times....because... what
happens, the media changes and so does the playback sound! Going back
to that ebay 2 track (fine machine indeed), how many thousands, okay
hundreds, okay double digit or bidders will it get? Let's see how
high the price goes!
