I just worked with this camera this week
it is really new so there is not much information available online
our system from clairmont camera had the srw 1 recorder attached to
the back
on the srw 1 there are 2 xlr inputs and a headphone jack
the sound quality of the headphone system is typical sony though it is
stereo and I didn't hear any TC bleed
there are no other options for monitoring your audio and this is a
major flaw in an otherwise fabulous system

production wanted rec/run timecode and a timecode slate
I ended up taking TC out intp the SD 744t in the auto record mode
I used a comtek to send TC from the SD 744t to the slate
I also assigned the take numbers to the last 2 digits of the user bits
so the slate would display the sound take
I kept the sound takes ascending through the 3 day project
remember to pull the TC in connector when they play back the camera or
you will be generating files w/ duplicate TC

yes the camera has fans, I believe they have 4 different modes of
operation
since we also had a digital projection system on the stage the camera
fans were inconsequential
