Hi Billy,as I understand it what you hear whilst monitoring is the
loop of audio between the TX and RX. When there is a drop out the
audio that goes to camera mutes and you get a beep type tone the whole
time signal is lost between the TX and RX.
As an example the other day at FOX studio's I walked about 100 feet
from the camera and then turned around to place myself between the TX
and RX and got a hit and a beep, I faced the camera (removing myself
from between the TX and RX) and all was good. I then grabbed the TX
aerial and smothered it causing a beep.
I then repeated this at about 30 feet and had no loss of signal.
The TX was infront of my petrol bag mixed with 4X lectro sets, the RX
was on the rear of the camera ( velcro to the battery cover,it weighs
about the same as a small Hershey bar)).
