Dear Colin,
You might try -- "BWF WIDGET PRO" and now "Courtney Goodin" has included
"BWF-O-MATIC". These simple, inexpensive, essential tools will work
for
most every task that you encounter in file based recording
Windows only.

Jeff,
If you look at the original post, the guy was looking for something simpler
than Adobe Audition to open and playback 744t BWF files.
Adobe Audition is also a Windows Only program so I don't think he would be
interested in anything that only runs on one of those fruity computers.
;-).. BWF Widget Pro will run just fine on the same computer he is running
Audition on and can play any file without having to load the whole file (or
scan it) before you can hear any of it.
Also whoever recommended Pro-Tools LE or TDM that is neither cheaper nor
simpler than Autition. They both are so large they barley run unless a
laptop is fast an fully loaded with RAM. They also require Pro-Tools
Hardware interface and external amp (or headphones) to hear the sound.

That would have been me Courtney. A digital mBox runs pretty nicely and
cheaply, actually. Although you don't HAVE to have a laptop fully loaded with
RAM for audio, when is a laptop NOT fully loaded with RAM these days?
I thought the OP was trying to get multi-clip files from a 744t read. I
thought knowing that he/she could drop into any place with a minimum Pro
Tools rig running version 7.0 would be helpful.
In LE the files import as discrete tracks. In TDM you can keep all of the
multifiles on one fader. Freaked me out the first time I saw it. In LE we see
the fader (like one I've never seen before) but it's greyed out. Very cool.
Would Take's Boom Recorder software do this?
