See how the producers feel about saving the planet when one of them dies
unexpectedly and you lose a good piece of sound. Rechargeables scare the
daylights out of me for anything but non-critical applications like IFB for
clients. With "real" batteries at least you know with good certainty how
long they are going to last and you don't have to try to keep track of which
battery has been charged how many times etc etc.

Hi Charles,
I haven't had a producer die on me yet, and only a couple of batteries!
With the Lectro 411A receiver set to timer, I have an accurate guide of
battery life.
I know the risks, and change before they fade. Also I keep an eye on
Xmitter battery voltage. Once the 500mAh hits 7.1v, you know it's time
to change. I carry "real" batteries for critical applications!..eg
progucers with dicky tickers!
