Karl,
I have too little experience with film-to-NTSC-workflows to say anything
specific about this, sorry.
It is my impression that the SR you choose has to do with the picture speed
at which they will master (24 for film or 23.97 for video), and that the
picture speed at which they will master determines the Avid project type
(24/23.97). Not sure how this would effect any type of postconforming,
though.
However, I believe that I saw the guys from Avid and Digidesign explain all
this in the CAS seminar videos.
