Didn't really intend it for full set playback, but more like you
mentioned, Jeff, for interim tunes, near field monitoring, tape
playback, etc. The nice thing for my purposes is that it's compact
enough for small plane travel, and can be easily set up in a hotel room
for non cart-based EFP gigs. When checking single system "dailies" we
can patch direct from the camera or even output from laptop for evening
DVD movies. For $330 [open box price] I haven't seen anything out
there, which compares.
