The analog (moving needle) peak meters used by the Cooper and Filmtech
mixers use -8 as their 0VU reference. But the actual output level can
vary. For example there are US versions of the LSP4 that are set up for
+4dB output level while others are set up for 0dB. But since 0VU
reference is relative, the only difference this should make is that
someone down stream will have to put down their donut, get out of their
chair and turn a knob up or down.
This is what line up tones, input knobs, chairs and napkins were
designed for.
