We used to use the Nagra 4.2 and 815 Senn almost exclusively for
documentaries in street use or very noisy locations or no boom man
(mostof the time), although I see that not many use them or recommend
them in this forum -- why? Yeah my film was nominated for "academy
award" so I guess the sound was good.but I also used a mini-nagra on
the beat cop.(1976)
I have been out of the loop for a few years doing Netcast productions
with computer web stuff but now getting back into film sound location
work since my love or jazz and saxophone playing. Now working on
feature doc with the cameraman's EV shotgun 635 dynamic as atmosphere
mike that has very little reach altho is very smooth :-]
Anyone want to loan me their Cantar for a test? .. oh that is beautiful
Fraser in Toronto -- looking for gear!
