Why would I spend the money, to see something I don't want to see,
because l already KNOW the plot from reviews?

And yet you're the first to bitch when some right-wing pundit or ***
politician is "taken out of context."

Ok, what have I got wrong about Michael Clayton?

Context. Criticizing the anti-corporate sentiment in Michael Clayton is
like criticizing the anti-computer sentiment in The Matrix or Tron.
Demented, silly and beyond anything the film is trying to depict.

Try watching it. It's a situational drama about the attempt by people to
control a case that becomes more and more uncontrollable and eventually
turns into a worrisome cluster*** for all concerned. Good guys and bad.
There are no shadowy corporate suits, twirling their moustaches and
marveling at their evilness. There are just desperate individuals, who
become slaves to their choices. Think Fargo with less snow and less
laughter.

As an aside, I find your repeated defense of corporations (or at least
non-Hollywood corporations) really bizarre. I mean if there's anything
on earth that doesn't need your help it's them. Why defend something
that can't get offended and HAS ALREADY WON!

Now corporations aren't necessarily evil, but they are, by design,
completely indifferent to the needs of people beyond fulfilling the
requirements that create profit. This is what makes them so potentially
dangerous and this is where so much criticism comes from. Indifference
on a small, human scale is nothing to worry about. But when a goliath
accidentally bumps into you you're going to stay bumped.

Behold, your corporations! And that's nothing compared to the immediate
and long-term economic effects that our corporations are happy to
inflict on our society as a result of outsourcing/offshoring.
They don't care about YOU, so don't care about them.
