going with that.
It wasn't scary at all. They only thing scary about it was that four ofAh, so they kept close to the original. That's good :)
my bucks are gone (and that's frightening).
This film borrows heavily from the stylings of recent japanese horror
films (yes, I know it's a remake of a japanese film) but it comes off as
stoopid and gimmicky.
The characters are dumb. the plot is dumb. The special effect suck. I
wouldn't even sneak into this dud.
I give this 0.0 stars out of 4.0. It's basically a steaming pile of poo.
The Japanese original is well liked by some, but I thought it had
interesting ideas done badly. I had hoped that the remake might focus
the story a bit more, cut down on the characters (there were two main
characters who don't meet until the end, and dropping one would have
improved things), etc. Your review wasn't very detailed, so who knows
what was changed, but what little hope I had for the film is fading.
I was disappointed by the original as well, and likewise thought a
remake could bolster the strengths of the spooky mystery while
eliminating the weakness of the original's construction. Everything
I've read about Pulse points the other way, though. Too bad; it had
potential.
