Not really. My overall reaction was disappointment. The movie is rotten at
its core, meaning the story does not work, but I like what they did with the
characters .. with some exceptions. The whole point of the movie was not to
bring back Superman, but to bring back Chris Reeve as Superman. In that
Singer succeeded.

That was NOT the point. The point was to take how Reeve depicted Superman, then flesh him the way modern comic book adaptations do. And in THAT, Singer succeeded.
