Brian Singer turned his back on his obligation to the X-Men franchise for
this???

Far, far too long and boring. None of the dynamism of the Spiderman and
X-Men films or Batman Begins.

It was too long, and rather aimless as well. Singer put a great effort into
trying to be all things to all people. It might have helped if he had decided
to do more than just remake Superman I and pay tribute to Christopher Reeve's
vision of the character.

Simple plot, too simple for its length and with no depth, and its pretty
much just a copy of Superman 1.

Kate Bosworth is horribly miscast. However Brandon Routh actually isn't too
bad, he cuts an iconic figure and he's not required to act.

Bosworth won me over. I didn't just watch her; I listened. If you pay more
attention to what you hear than what you see, she is believable as Lois Lane, if
not plausible.

I guess the writers never read Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex. Superman has
a son???? And he still can't tell Lois who he is. Really what was the
point?

I have read Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex and Larry Niven is full of it. As he
so often does, he comes up with interesting ideas, then fails to develop them.
There are plenty of canonical ways for Supes and Lois to make a child with no
harm to the mother ..


Brian Singer should have done X-Men 3 and Brett Ratner Superman Returns, at
least Superman Returns would have been the lean mean film it should be and
X-Men may have had the depth its missing.

I was disappointed in both X-Men 3 and Superman Returns. You may have something
here ..
