Yes, but how did it compare to "The Great Raid"?
They're not really comparable, since The Great Raid was
an historical war movie, and Annapolis is a fictional
story at a military academy. Both had good music, in
my opinion, but the music in Annapolis was more
directly involved in the effect of the movie, strikingly so.
Sure they're comparable, since they were produced in an era of false patriotism.
Both had James Franco in the lead role, but he had a
whole lot more to do in Annapolis, because of the
boxing aspect of the story, for which he prepared and
trained extensively.
That Oscar nod should be in any day now.
