My thoughts on it:
Brian Singer turned his back on his obligation to the X-Men franchise for
this???
Far, far too long and boring. None of the dynamism of the Spiderman and
X-Men films or Batman Begins.
Simple plot, too simple for its length and with no depth, and its pretty
much just a copy of Superman 1.
Kate Bosworth is horribly miscast. However Brandon Routh actually isn't too
bad, he cuts an iconic figure and he's not required to act.
I guess the writers never read Man of Steel, Woman of Kleenex. Superman has
a son???? And he still can't tell Lois who he is. Really what was the
point?
Did the writers realize what a bad mother they portrayed Lois as? She takes
her son into the house that was the epicentre of the EMP???
Did the writers realize what an arsehole they made Superman out to be by
pursuing Lois after he found out about her son and fiance?
The writers don't know what an EMP actually does.
Brian Singer should have done X-Men 3 and Brett Ratner Superman Returns, at
least Superman Returns would have been the lean mean film it should be and
X-Men may have had the depth its missing.
