and Jodie Foster are still going strong well into their 40s, so who
knows, Sharon Stone could possibly make a comeback at 48, even though,
save for the flop "Catwoman," she's been off the radar screen for quite

a while. We'll see if lightning can strike twice.

I thought the original "Basic Instinct" was somewhat clunky, and the notoriety of the beaver shot, with a nude scene or two, carried it. But I, for one, wouldn't mind seeing her nude at her age. I like that idea, mature women showing their bodies. I was watching "Vanity Fair," and there was one scene in which a woman who had to be in her late 50s -- maybe her early 60s -- get up from a bathtub wearing some sort of bathing gown (I'd never seen this before), but oh so briefly, before she could pull the gown down, you saw her bare legs, her ***, a glimpse of her waistline, and her pubic hair. No, she was not some smooth-skinned olympic contestant, but she was realistically attractive and desirable.

I'd like to see that Kathy Bates nude scene I've heard a bit about, in "About Schmidt." Any comments?
