I find it plausible that his agent could've wisely advised Quaid to pay anything within reason to be in the movie. But that's not relevant to whether in fact, under false pretenses, Quaid was asked to sacrifice.


The only thing about that is, as Harkness pointed out, there was no reason to believe that the success of Brokeback couldn't have mirrored the success of Crouching Tiger, so why wouldn't an agent with his *** together have prepared for such a contingency?
