Anyone surprised that Pink Panther is #1 this weekend?
1. The Pink Panther $21.7 Million
2. Final Destination 3 $20.1 Million
3. Curious George $15.3 Million
4. Firewall $13.8 Million
No, because nobody went to see "Final Destination" on a non-Friday night...
movie with everything cut out but the cruelty, death and the set
pieces, and smarter and grimmer than the marketing lets on. Forget
America's new spirituality, In the Final Destination films, God
doesn't even exist, just some unseen malevolent thing out there having
fun thinking up gimmicky ways to kill teenagers.
I just don't get the point of Final Destination. It seems like
killing people for killing people's sake.
