Reminds me of back in the day --late 1968 or thereabouts-- when the late
Keith Markey [then a member & arranger for the Air Force Academy D&B] was
serving as an on-again/off-again music writer and program advisor to the
Bellevue WA 'Sentinels', during which he brought in a baritone [?] he'd
added tubing to and converted it to a... a... a... lower pitch baritone, or
contra wanna-be, or something else I can't remember.
Too, I seem to remember he had to play/carry it on his shoulder... longer
'body & tubing' etc., etc. Anyone here recall seeing/playing it, hmmmmm??
.
