So is the evolution of "the activity" the problem or is it sexual
predators? You seem to confuse the two on purpose as I feel this is
your or her real agenda. Isn't it Mr. thunk?
My points are; I don't think DC has a higher rate of molestation
than normal and the "evolution" of DC is not directly linked to sexual
predators. I never said it didn't/doesn't happen. Sadly it happens
everywhere in every walk of life. It's a terrible thing and shame her
for thinking she's the only one who cares.
I'm sorry you people had such a bad experience in SO CAL. But your
experience in my best guess was very different than than let's say the
other 98% of the DC world. It's a shame no one was aware enough to
stop it when it was happening. But to label all of DC as a "marketing"
place and feeding ground for predators is just wrong. The overwhelming
majority of people who teach and or help today are not the problem and
are quite possibly part of the solution to this problem. Are you part
of the solution? Is she?
When I was 15. I went to a bar in New Haven after rehearsal. A
grown Man walked up to me and a few of my buddies and started a
conversation. Then he put his hand on my ass. I hit him in the face
with a beer bottle which knocked him to the ground. After stomping on
him for a few minutes we draged him outside and beat him till he
couldn't walk any more. The police came and broke it up. We had the man
arrested. Now I'm not saying this is always the answer, but it worked
well for us. Another time we found out that two of our own older horn
players (18-19) had a little party with some younger girls(14-15)the
night before. They were stupid enough to brag about it. Somehow, before
we could get to them Pepe found out. I still remember them sitting on
the hood of their car as Pepe walked up to them. He picked them up by
the necks, picked them up off the ground about a foot and started
banging their heads together, till he dropped them to the ground. They
got in their car, drove off and I've never seen them again. That's how
we delt with it as teenagers and adult staff. We didn't wait 28 years
to complain about it. We did something about it then. Now I don't know
who was molested in your corps, their ages or the details. I don't know
if you or anyone else were aware of these predators at the time. If you
or anyone else was aware at the time and didn't do anything about it
then, that's a shame. But, EVERYONE isn't the problem here and now.

Yes I do teach kids. Yes I do work with them. She gets under EVERYONE'S
skin.
I don't let young people get under my skin. I control rehearsals. They
don't run wild on my watch. I also teach them with respect and they
return that respect. Simple isn't it. Catherine Burr is not a child and
neither are you. I have a much different tolerance level for adults
than I do for young people as you can see. You people like to point
fingers and call people enablers, blandos and various other nonsence,
just because we teach an "activity" you don't aprove of anymore.
THAT'S WHERE I HAVE A PROBLEM. I've been called an enabler of sexual
predators by this CRAZY BITCH many times myself. Why? 'cause I'm still
active in young people's lives? So her insinuations are not justified
or warrented and will not be tolerated by me. Neither will yours. The
fact that you suggest I might not be tolerant of the children I teach,
because of my reaction to her constant bull*** rantings and finger
pointing, is just plain stupid. You should know better. You should know
the difference between the two. Shame on you.

No you're not. You know exactliy what you're doing. It's called

Well that's your opinion honey. I have my own.
All the best,
