Josephine T. Gebauer, 77, formerly of Braintree, MA died on Tuesday, (February 22,
2005), at Brightview of Avon, her home for the past year. Prior to Brightview, she
enjoyed the past several years living at Laurel Gardens in Avon.

She was born in Cortland, NY on October 15, 1927. She was married for 27 years to the
late Edward J. Gebauer. She leaves a son John Gebauer, daughter-in-law Pamela and a
grandson Christopher of Collinsville. She also leaves her longtime companion and
closest friend Alphonse Mansani of Abington, MA. She had one brother, the late John
Reagan of Rochester, NY, his wife Valerie Reagan, a niece Nancy and four nephews
Danny, Tim, John David and Brian Reagan and their families.

She was a Syracuse University graduate.

Until her move to Connecticut she was an active member of and sang in the choir at
St. Clare's Catholic Church in Braintree. She assisted with the weekly Communion
Services at the Braintree TB Hospital. She belonged to many organizations such as:
The Braintree Knights of Columbus, The Alhambra, the Catholic Daughters, Braintree
Woman's Club and the American Legion.

She was an Avon Lady for 35 years.

She enjoyed many years and met many friends through her involvement with the Sir
Thomas More Cadets and Squires and The Quincy Renegades drum and bugle corps.

Her hobbies included bowling with the Wednesday morning bowlers at Weymouth Landing
and playing bridge with her bridge groups.

Calling hours will be at the McMaster Funeral Home, 86 Franklin St., Braintree, MA
02184 on Sunday February 27, from 2-5 p.m. There will be a Funeral Mass at the Church
of St. Clare, Liberty St., Braintree at 10 a.m. on Monday February 28, followed by
burial at the Blue Hills Cemetery in Braintree. An additional Memorial Service will
be held at the First Church of Christ, 61 Main St., Unionville, on Sunday March 6, at
1 p.m. The Rev. Thomas Dean will officiate. All are welcome.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the First Church of Christ,
Unionville Memorial fund, 61 Main St., Unionville, CT 06085, or The Alzheimer's
Association, Connecticut Chapter, 96 Oak St., Hartford, CT 06106.
