hi Leo,

I would advice you to use a combination of linseed oil with a thinner
like turpentine oil, it will speed up the drying process. Since you
already used linseed oil, put the canvas under the sun, covering it
with linen, it will not accumlate dust.

You can experiment with the underlying layer and use thick colours
before drying or wait till the layer dries if planning to use thin
colours.
