where would i start if i want to make a living salary off of my work.Do
i need to join an
association or get a master's degree?
[Neither one will help much. Join an association if you want to hobnob with
your peers, and swap hard-luck stories. A master's degree will allow you to
qualify for a job as an associate professor, but these jobs are underpaid
and hotly contested. (Figure 500 qualified applicants for each one.) With
the possible exception of sweatshops in Hong Kong, nobody's getting paid a
salary for painting pictures. If you want to make a steady living as a
painter, paint houses.]
