the first time they`ve done one of these "all time favourite fan poll"
things for a good 10 years or so and not surprisingly the new series makes
an impact on the top 10.

198. Time and the Rani
199. TimeLash
200. The Twin Dilemma
I`ve never seen Caves take frst spot before...
apparently the second greatestI watched this in 5.1 a couple of days ago and it really is excellent
Dr Who story of all time barely features the Doctor...
IMHO.
is BW / PotW really a top 10 story?...It is not even top 10 for the new series, let alone the entire canon.
must be the first time neither of Troughton`s dalek storiesAs time goes by less and less people will have seen it and therefore
have made top 10...
be able to vote on them - unlike bad stories (see below) it is
difficult to appriciate the good stories on audio due to the look
often being central to it's quality.
With the steady supply of new stories I know I certainly watch the
original series less and less - I haven't watched an original series
story in at least a year with the exception of a couple of the latest
classic series DVD releases whereas I as still watch the new series
regulary.
RTD and Tom Baker fair dominate other than Caves...isI have only watched it the once many years ago but I didn't think it
Twin Dilemma *that* bad?...
was that bad, certainly Paradise Towers, The Space Pirates, The
Mutants and a fair few more are a lot worse...
no Delta at the bottom...nor Web Planet, has theFor me Paradise Towers will always be bottom simply because just about
DVD release changed people`s minds ( it hasn`t mine! )...
every aspect of the production fails badly.
just looking back at a DWB poll from 1993 this wa the top 20:
01 Evil
02 Web
03 Pyramids of Mars
04 Talons of Weng Chaing
05 Genesis of the Daleks
06 Caves of Androzani
07 Robots of Death
08 Deadly Assassin
09 Power of the Daleks
10 Seeds of Doom
11 Tomb of the Cybermen
12 Fury from the Deep
13 The Abominable Snowman
14 City of Death
15 The Silurians
16 Earthshock
17 Inferno
18 Dalek Masterplan
19 Ark in Space
20 Tenth Planet
filled with the generic "fan favorites" with a few surprises,
Robots being so high, Silurians beating Inferno otherwise entirely
predictable.
The bottom 10:
149 The Horns of Nimon
150 Timeflight
151 The Happiness Patrol
152 Underworld
153 Silver Nemesis
154 Timelash
155 The Twin Dilemma
156 Delta and the Bannermen
157 Paradise Towers
158 Time and the Rani
many of the same shows - the only difference being some of the very
rarely seen Troughton stories given more prominance due to repeats,
recons, audio soundtrack releases showing how poor they are., a bad
accent is a bad accent on audio or TV.
