A Tom Baker anecodote...

This from Al Davison - comic artist/writer - from the Panel2Panel newsgroup.
Just thought I'd share!

Just back from London Film & Comic Con, had fun but we didn't make as
much profit at the Con as we needed to, but still more than we would
at the shop on a normal weekend. Saved money on food as I was a guest,
food was provided from the green room. Unfortunately no wheelchair
access so I had to wait downstairs until volunteers could take my
order. This lead to a strange encounter with Tom Baker (former Doctor
Who) which confirmed a long held suspicion... the man is insane!

He approached me as I was waiting for drinks at the foot of the stairs
to the green room, the conversation went like this:

Baker: 'Are they looking after you? oh sorry thought you were a guest,
you're staff, silly me'
Al: 'No I'm a guest, and yes some one is getting me a drink'
Baker: 'No you are staff'
Al: No I'm a guest"
Baker: 'You are staff, you are in a wheelchair you know...'
Al: 'I know, and I'm a guest"
Baker: 'The green room is upstairs, you are in a wheelchair, their is
no lift, therefore you are staff'
Al: I'm a guest'
Baker starts to walk up the stairs, speaking to the volunteer with him.
Baker: He's not a guest you know, see, the green room is upstairs, no,
he's staff'.

unfortunately the Doctor Who comics didn't arrive in time for the
show, I'd have given him one, but that might just have confused him
more!
Al.
