Whilst a fairly competent troll, I regret I am a complete newb when
it comes to his who'ness.

Therefore, appreciating fully that its somewhat selfish and unfair
to start trolling a froup without making some reasonable effort to
understand and contribute to on-topic matters, I am making due
effort to educate myself in the lives and times of his who'ness.
With this in mind, apart from Paul Lee's site, which I have already
looked at (and very enjoyable it was too). Is there any other
compulsory reading I should be adding to my list ?

Also, as I may be slightly older than many of your good selves, I
can faintly remember a Dr Who film in the cinema around about the
late 1980's, early 1990's. The story line and Dr character seemed
completely different to those on tv. Is it my imagination or does
such a film exist ??? One of your froup regulars also pointed out
that a knowledge of anti
gay parts of the Bible is also essential for regulars of this
froup. Alas my knowledge of the latter is even less than for his
who'ness. However, I am quite handy with grep scripts and perl.
Can anyone suggest any good search patterns ?.

PS Isn't Peachy great. Wish we had her on UPSD
On topic posts in this group are extremely rare, everything normally
revolves around two very oddball individuals, Yads and Aggs, and
their bizarre outlook on life. Dr Who conversation is limited to a
broadcast of a new episode. To be honest this is probably the
easiest group in the world for someone to troll because there are
so many already in here. At the same time you`ll have to be pretty
special to get yourself recognised, really, we`ve seen off the
best! There are some right old farts in here as well and pretty
much no-one under 30 so I`m not sure you`re truly amongst the
oldest of us. As for your Dr Who film, nope, the only cinematic Who
films were
the 2 starring Peter Cushing in the 1960`s. There was a TV movie
starring Paul McGann in 1996 which is the only other thing you
could be thinking about.
If you want to peruse Dr Who websites then Outpost Gallifrey is the
obvious place to start, it`s mostly just a news and forum place
nowadays but the old site is archived and packed with information.
Thanks for your guidance. Please be assured that I am likely to be
far more respectful of your froup's traditions and customs than the
late Mr Jillians. Whilst it is good to know that I am among fellow
trolls, its especially nice to
know that, (for once), I won't have been the only one to have seen
the moon landings live, or to remember free school milk, or
thruppeny bits. Most of all, its nice to know that it won't be necessary
to watch
the entire back
catalogue of the life and times of his Who'ness. Having said that, I
am quite
fond of the current reincarnation and looking forward to the next
series. Ditto
Torchwood (although the homoerotic content is often excessive :).
Oh man! Not another one of THOSE !

Shoo! Go'way! begone foul troll!

*sigh*

You'll fit right in.

Thanks Peachy :)

No problem. Just be prepared for me to spend long hours explaining
to you why there is not too much homoerotic content.

Sounds as good as The Sun printing a Full Page Ad explaining why
there's no Tits on Page 3.

Well, not being anyplace that gets the Sun, I can only guess at the
exact cultural reference there - but let's go with it.

How much homoerotic content could there be for you to not feel it was
too much?

How much is allowed, exactly?

You miss my point entirely. I'm not objecting to the presence or
absence of homoerotic content. It just bores me as much as the tits on
page 3 of The Sun.

It's a Fact Of Life that there's Tits on page 3 of the Sun; and it's a
Fact Of Life that there's Homoerotic Content in RADW. This doesn't
preclude me from expressing a Purely Personal opinion without wanting
to encourage (or discourage) an embargo on either.
