Now, if you're using Firefox, you can zoom in to see these at the
actual resolution. Other browsers might either shrink to screen or
display at the full 4000x4000 anyway. It depends.

The first image is just the Titanic, no water. The second image has
the water file I also provided.

Now, what are the things I notice that distinguish these images from
yours? Well...

a) I included water.
b) The model has lighting.
c) The funnels are there.
d) The detail is considerably better.
e) It looks a hell of a lot better.
f) It took 10 hours to produce each image, rather than 36 seconds.>>>

Flat shading. No texturing. No detail. It's just a zoom. Direct X
acceleration would have rendered the same scene in real time. You need a

computer with a decent graphics card. What did you say you had. Some

Wrong. You don't have a clue of what you are talking about. Modern graphics
cards are built around hard wired 2D and 3D rendering accelerators. Any
decent piece of rendering software will use all the acceleration the
graphics card provides to do a render. Some of them even do ray tracing in
teal time.

That is polygon fill, not rendering. I don't give a damn what the
reviewer calls it, it's polygon fill. Any but a high-end graphics card
will be incapable of more. High-end graphics cards for game machines
do basic shaders, but none of the advanced shading. They're completely
incapable of using the sorts of shaders needed for sea effects (which
requires some photon mapping). The effects in Titanic could not be
done on any graphics card yet produced, they're simply too advanced.
Your brain-dead excuses don't change that.

As for your claim that the model I'm using uses flat polygons, look
again at the funnels. They're not simple cylinders. Look again at the
anchor, it's not a paint-job on the side, it's clearly a 3D object in
its own right. Look again at the deck area - your effort produces
hollow squares for the bays, mine does not. Why? Because you aren't
rendering. It simply doesn't show details that small on a simple flood-
fill preview. And that's all your doing - a preview. You're not
producing a true render at all.
