The Archbishop of Canterbury has said God will not intervene to save
humanity. Well, no surprise there as the irresponsible baby-killing
*** in the sky has never helped humanity from day one.

This seems to be the start of the church admitting there is no God.
Not Really; but I'm not surprised to find yet another adolescent
squawking because Mummy won't follow round cleaning up after him.

It might Cross your mind that God has better things to do than
following round and kissing it better every time You have a fall. He
might not even want us to waste so much time Worshiping Him. If we
Are the Children Of God then it's about time we fucking Grew Up and
learned to Fend For Ourselves.

Yet there I am, in a Christian church every week, where God's
believers can do no more to help the world than to pray to their God
to make it a better place.

Really? None of them give to charity, work for charities or in the
community, teach their own or other people's children the value
of helping the world, are nurses, doctors or others that help to
heal others, or in fact do anything other than pray?

So what you're saying is that they should
stop going to church to worship and pray to their God - he ain't
going to do anything. They need to grow up and put away such childish
beliefs.

If any of them really believe that all they have to do is pray and
that they bear no other responsibility to their fellow men than to
go to church once a week and say a few words, then yes, they
should grow up.

I see your point!

No, you don't.

Diane L.

So what exactly do Christians get out of it then? They pray to a god
that won't help them or the people they pray for, the bible paints him
as a vile monster ordering people to rape and murder, and clearly one
doesn't have to believe in a deity in order to be a good person. So
what's the point?
