But I'm giving him a chance to say why Time-flight is a
worthy story.
Here and now.

Bet he won't answer the question properly like the coward and
troublemaker he is.

Time Flight. =A0The Master is dead?

Will I?

Well where are they then?

Coming at you.

Basically a Concorde disappears.  How?  It was on course.

The Doctor decides to go to Victorian England, what a moment,
he materialises at modern day Heathrow Could he crash?

From there he wiggles his way out of trouble using his UNIT credentials
only to find the MAster 1000 000 000 years ago behind the plot.

The Doctor thought he was killed on Castrovalva.  Never underestimate this
creature.  HE is tryingto use the Xeraphin to reclaim power to his
TARDIS only to end having the Doctor get in the way.

I still like it to this day.

7/10 .

your turn troll.

Damn, he wrote 100 words.  review like, but up to the word count.

Anyway

The inclusion of Concorde was just proof of how desperate the show was
getting, only a second season into its new producership (the very
producership that would completely ruin the show, of course). But
granted a disappearing plane could have been a good idea for a a ghost
story-style mystery. Could have, but this is completely wasted by the
time we get to the end of episode one.

We then see the Doctor and his companions in the Tardis grieving Adric
hysterically..... for about a minute and then they change the subject
and start acting completely bored. All believability breaks down at
that point, and in light of Adric's death it's an insult. It's
unbelievably crass and insincere, and makes the first hints of
something cheapening, insincere and nasty creeping into the show under
script editor Eric Saward. Setting us up for ridiculous pointless
killings as life gets cheaper, and the Doctor's moralising speeches
become even more hypocritical amongst it all. Something that will make
the whole era.... stink!

Granted Peter Davison's performance almost sells the insincerity.

They arrive and instantly we know that they're being deceived.
Wouldn't it have been better if we weren't in on the know and we
believed they were back at heathrow as well, and they could have kept
the illusion going for a while. Make it a big twist. But no.

Then we see the cabin crew played by a bunch of planks of wood who are
possessed and acting like they've never left Heathrow. These poor
actors have to play this laughable lets pretend children's TV, as
though it's serious drama, and fight with flying bits of washing up
liquid and freeze on cue so obviously. It's just embarrasing and
painful. At least under Graham Williams we would have got a bit of
humour and energy to the whole thing. But it just completely drags and
feels so stale. The citadel looks stale too, which compounds the
problem adding insult to injury, as if this story isn't insulting
enough.

Then the Master. What the hell was the Master disguised as Khalid for?
Why bring him back after he got such a great exit in Castrovalva? How
did he escape Castrovalva? These questions are never answered and it
just shows utter contempt for the audience, and no Yads, I don't buy
that it makes the Master seem more invincible, because here he is
recruiting Concorde staff... how low has the guy sunk?

But even despite that, the Doctor is still useless against him. 'The
Master has finally defeated me!' he declares, since when has the
Doctor been such a pathetic defeatist? Oh yeah, since Eric Saward
started script-editing for him. This would be the nadir scene for
utterly disgracing the Doctor if there wasn't worse to come in the
next three seasons ahead.

The final climactic confrontation, as the Doctor and Master must
exchange machine parts. Wow, I think I'd rather watch paint dry. And
at the end, the Doctor just forgets about the Xeraphins, doesn't
bother to check on them and effectively lets the Master escape? Oh how
incompetent Doctor, a mass murderer who destroyed a huge chunk of the
cosmos in Logopolis (which neither Tegan or Nyssa bat an eyelid about
anymore) and you let him go. Has any Doctor been so incompetent
before?

Oh and the cliffhanger is the final contrivance as Tegan is left
behind and the Doctor forgets all about her. What a desperate
cliffhanger! As if anyone actually wants to see that moany bitch back?
But we know she will be back. God Doctor Who has turned into a soap
opera.Funny that, if she can come back, why not someone likeable like
Romana or Leela? Nah, JNT and Eric wouldn't know likeable companions
if they shook their hands.

So contrivance after contrivance, a terminally boring pacing, cop-
outs, a disgraceful treatment of the Doctor and tarnishes the tragedy
of both Adric's death in Earthshock, and the attrocities in Logopolis..
It's nothing but a blatant cheat, a con, this isn't Doctor Who.

It's a disgrace and the world would be better off if it had never been
made.

NEwsflash:  This script was originally written for Tom Baker.

What do you say now troll Tom80s?
