S2E8 Hush!

Thought it was going to be another L&M when it started but it seems not to be. Also thought it might be another Mind Robber but it ain't that either, or is it.
Tennant's Doctor 9/10 Most serious he's been yet, mostly, so far....
Donna 8/10 Still to much time spent on setting up gags for her.
Scientific Credibility 6/10 Right, so the Doctor asks the computer to tell him how many non-humanoid life-forms there are in the Library and it tells him and Donna, 1,000,000,000,000 and neither of them thinks that it might be referring to the bacteria inside their bodies or on their clothes, and nor does the writer. Why would you need a telepathic brain link to communicate when a simple microphone and speaker inside each helmet would do? And a little girl as the computer core or a computer core that thinks its a little girl, what is that supposed to be about? And micro-organisms that lurk in the shadows and consume people, yer right.
Credible story telling and Realism. Yer, right. How many hints did Archiebird try to give the Doctor that she was one of his future companions and he still can't work it out? 8/10
Lack of Soap 10/10 Almost totally soap free.
Supporting Acting 8/10 So once again they kill off the best looking bird.
CGI and Effects 8/10 CGI looked good. The skull inside the space suit which before was blacked out looked stupid because of the blacking out before hand. The face things looked stupid.
Stunts and Cinematography 8/10. Pitty no stunts. The background music was starting to piss me off and it would have been more atmospheric without it especially since it was moving at a different pace from the action.
Story Arc and Continuity 8/10 So given that Archiebird is supposed to be the Doctor's future companion unless she's that "Sam" or whatever (substitute some blokes name or other) bird from the Sylvester McCoy New Adventures and he can't remember her there's point worrying about what happens to the Doctor in part 2 since he ain't going to die, and don't bother with the finale, Davros won't get him either.
Sets Locations, Makeup and Costumes 8/10 The face things looked stupid, just like someone sticking their head through a hole in a piece of cardboard. The space suits didn't look real.
Overall 81/100 Highest so far by 1 mark
