Note that one of the differences between accent and dialect is that
Cockney is an accent, not a dialect.

They do not need to train their actors to speak in a dialect. They just tell them to say the words written in the script which are already written in the appropriate dialect, using their own normal accent.

An ancient Greek would behave and use vocabulary like Alexis Zorba or the father in My Big Fat Greek Wedding, not like Cordelia Chase.

vici" translates as, and this was not even mentioned in the episode for
those that didn't know.

Latin!" instead of using the English because you'd forgotten what
Donna actually said but vaguely knew from rote learrning that the
thing with three vs meant "I came, I saw, I conquered".

original or exclusive to The Life of Brian.
