# 1. Partners in Crime
# 2. The Fires of Pompell

Pompell? The Pompeii one looks very interesting.

# 3. Planet of the Ood

Sadly I'm missing this one - no doubt I'll catch up a few weeks
later,
but I'm looking forward to this. But surely red eyes mean the Beast
rather than just "Ood gone bad" generally as RT seems to suggest?

# 4. The Sontaran Stratagem
# 5. The Poison Sky

If only they didn't look so much like Vogons from the BBC TV series
years back, or like the Voyager aliens that ripped those Vogons off.

# 6. The Doctor's Daughter

Interesting idea to be sure, and one presumes another Time Lord to
boot.

# 7. The Unicorn & The Wasp
# 8. Silence in the Library
# 9. River's Run

The second two-parter is usually a high point, and while I was a bit
underwhelmed by "Blink" and a lot underwhelmed by "The Girl in the
Fireplace", I have high hopes for this.

# 10. Midnight

When I saw the plot, my first thought was "Didn't they redo The
Leisure Hive last year?"

# 11. Turn Left

Why oh why is RTD writing almost half the season? Then again, I liked
Utopia in the same slot last year - it's mainly his finales I
dislike.

# 12. (TBA)
# 13. Journey's End

Which makes me feel this one is likely to be unpromising. RTD
writing,
invasion of Earth, lots of Daleks. Haven't we done this? Twice?

(number six looks.. interesting)

Yes, and The Doctor's Daughter is played by Peter Davison's real
life
daughter!

Episide 12 is Victory of The Daleks or somesuch.

Hmm, disappointing given the teaser in RT. "Gives too much away"?
Wouldn't everyone be more surprised if this year *didn't* have Daleks
in it? I was expecting a name like "The Time War", or possibly "The
Wrath of Khan".

I think "The Wrath of Khan" has been done before Phil....

So has, oh, "Smith and Jones", "Partners in Crime", "Father's Day"...

Phil

Incorrect. You refer "Alias Smith and Jones" the 1970's cowboy serial with
Ben Murphy and Pete Duel, and "Alas Smith & Jones" the BBC comedy with Mel
Smith and Gryff Rhys Jones. There never has been a show named just "Smith
and Jones".
Granted there was an Agatha Christie production named "Partners in Crime"
and a 1997 Robin Williams comedy named "Fathers Day".

Lets hijack this thread and see if we can think of anymore legitimate
cases
of Doctor Who stories having the same name as other productions.
I'll start by citing a new movie released in May with the title "Doomsday"

Doctor Who and the Daleks. A film from the 1960's starring Peter
Cushing. I think a Hartnell story had a similar title

Ged

Sorry...can't allow that one! That particular story only much later became
referred to as
Doctor Who and the Daleks - mainly because of the novel release but also for
clarity. "The Dead Planet" and "The Mutants" were the generally accepted
titles.
