Two young Christians, Anthony and Emma, got married. Emma became
pregnant and gave birth to twins on 25 October 2007. However, there
were complications and she lost a lot of blood. Doctors tried to
give her a blood transfusion. But Emma had been taught that God does
not approve of people polluting their bodies. She believed it was a
sin. She stood firm in her faith and refused the transfusion,
knowing that God would do what was best for her.

Despite her unwavering faith in her creator, he didn't perform a
miracle and save her. Neither did he convince her to accept the
transfusion. She died, aged 22, leaving behind a distraught husband
and twins who will grow up, never knowing their mother.

And that's why we should reject the monster that people call their
god.

As a spiritual atheist myself, I don't see the connection there. Even if you do reject god, it's still possible to be opposed to blood transfusions on ethical grounds.

The point is she refused the transfusion *because* of her faith, not because of other reasons. We're talking about this specific incident.
