<snip>

We can ring up our mates or talk
to them in the pub about Torchwood if we're so inclined. The internet
is so yesterday when it comes to discussion now.

I said exactly the same thing two days ago :)

I can't think of any reason I'd want to discuss Torchwood with friends
though. I talk about it on the net to fellow geeks. Off the net I leave my
anorak behind.

... and it makes me think WHY is there no proper word for the "day before
yesterday" ??? Yester-yesterday maybe? Certainly that would screw up the
lyrics of that Lennon & McCartney song where they blatently bastardise the
word "yesterday" and make it mean "any time before today". Maybe that's a
good thing though?

How many people use the phrase "the other day"?

There should also be a word for the day after tomorrow. That would really
help for people like me who don't know what day of the week it is and turn
up in the wrong lecture halls with the wrong students :( as is what
happened last...er...yester-yesterday.

Today's the tomorrow I worried about yesterday...
