Socrates taught his students that the pursuit of truth can only begin once
they start to question and analyze every belief that they ever held dear. If
a certain belief passes the tests of evidence, deduction, and logic, it
should be kept. If it doesn't, the belief should not only be discarded, but
the thinker must also then question why he was led to believe the erroneous

Here's something for you to mull over Yads.
Jesus most certainly was an Essene. Biblical scholars say his
Theplace of birth, his lineage all point to that.
Essenes were VEGAN. Totally.
Biblical scholars are actually much more divided than you suggest.
problem with the 'Essene' theory of Jesus is that Essenes regarded
themselves as 'hyper-clean', which is why they tended to take
themselves off to live in the desert in communities such as that at
Qumran to avoid contamination. Jesus would seem not nop have fitted
that pattern awfully well.
Then explain the multitude of fish.

I seem to recall Jesus preaching to the "multitude" but I thought they
were people.
Seriously Yads, the Bible holds many deliberate misinterpretations.
Jesus didn't divide fish and bread, he divided FRUIT and bread. Most
likely the fruit was figs.
Get a grip. Most of his "core-12" were fishermen. Moreover there is no
basis in the Greek text for this assertion. Matthew Mark and Luke all
use 'ichthyas" - the common word for fish. John uses "opsaria" which
indicates a small dish, which could (at a push) be something other than
fish, but fruit would not seem to make any sense here.
As far as I know there are no textual variants.
Core 12 were fishermen? They were varied.
