The Jewel in the Crown?

HBO ran the Extras Special Series Final a week ago. I understand it
hasn't aired in Britain yet. No this isn't off topic. So if you want to
be surprised this is a WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD. Stop reading NOW!
Andy wants to do quality programs but all he keeps getting offered is
Doctor Who. Playing a monster.
His agent Darren refers to Who hilariously and sarcastically? As the
jewel in the BBC's crown(if only it was!) Andy calls it campy frothy
nonsense. TV like Doctor Who, Robin Hood and Hotel Babylon is beneath
him.(what no Torchwood! Not as popular as the others?) Andy
quits his terrible sitcom and now can't get any work.
"For the thousand time I'm not doing an alien on Doctor Who!" Naturally
we cut to poor Andy in a slug suit looking like Mester in Twin Dilemma
and Sil ! Tennant
makes a cameo spouting scientific lingo as he grabs some salt
conveniently near by. As the companion ask what are we going to do
Doctor? I
thought for a second he was reaching for his magic wind sorry I mean
sonic screw driver to dispatch Andy. One of the high lights of the final
which was more then a little disappointing. Reviews are so-so. If you
like new Who or not worth seeing for that alone.
