It'd be great to read some enthusiastic responses to Doctor Who here.
I think it's a smashing series and the updating to more "soapy"
elements has worked, and made sense for an audience accustomed to
Eastenders etc. The production values are high, better than they've
ever been.
I do concur that a more positive outlook on the series would be nice,
but most of the wankers will never cooperate. I just watched series 3
on DVD and I loved it to pieces. The episodes were even better the
second time around. Sure, the 70s is my golden age, but we are in a
whole new prosperous and excellent era of the show. I pity anyone who
can't fully see that. Hopefully series 4 will live up to the hype.
