"Agamemnon" <agamemnon@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> wrote in message news:x-6dnRgnzL7yJIHaRVnyuwA@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxJust before the end of episode 3 when it cuts to the scene where Jo Grant is being examined lying on the bed upstairs in the pub the colours are all blurred and in the wrong place with respect to the the headboard and the other scenery for about a second and then return to where they should be. What went wrong with the colour restoration at this point?
Also does anyone know how to get rid of the awful orange and purple tints on the colour without having to adjust the hue manually in VirtualDub on every scene? No wonder NTSC was called Never Twice the Same Colour if this is what American viewers had to put up with all the time.
Best to wait till the RT fix it to be honest.
Well I've done my own fix. Ran the entire thing though the Static Noise Reduction 1.3 filter by Steven Don set to 6 interlaced and the Temporal Smoother set to 2 in Virtual dub and got rid of nearly all the nasty film grain but not the blobs and scratches which nothing seems to remove not even SpotRemover 3.5. I still can't get the colour to look right on the first 3 episodes though.
