Just had a look at DS and people didn't seem to like it, but they also seem to be the same ones that didn't understand it.
Oh, I see. "Those who don't like it just don't get it."
Well, I didn't like it/ Was it because I didn't get it, or because I thought it was a mess of half thought out (I'm being kind) ideas pulled randomly from a hat with barely any pretence to story? Or because it was self contradictory, lacking in development, and basically some producer/ writers self congratulatory televisual masturbatathon because he's got nobody that'll tell him when he's making utter ***?
great high paced drama bringing together a whole load of stuff from all 3 series of neuWho
A hotch potch of badly implemented scenes throwing plotlines together at random for no value whatsoever (Jack is the Face of Boe? Why? And how? No, make that another Why?) other than to raise eyebrows through breeze block like subtlety.
I particularly liked the design similarity between The masters ring and the watches used to store 'essence of 'Timelord'
You mean because having killed the master off for no good reason other than a bit of tear jerking, the Flash idea of sticking him in a ring was too subtle for you to grasp if there wasn't some design similarities?
Maybe RTD does know his audience then, because I always found his blatant OTT reinforcing of concepts near insulting of the intelligence of the audience. Like a comedian who feels the need to explain every joke in great detail in case you didn't spot how clever and witty he'd been.
