Lots of twists, mysteries still to be explained (who are the Toclafane? My
money's on the Gelth tonight- male and female voices, fleeing the
darkness, etc.) Even Martha's family were worth their appearance.

But the important thing is John Simm. He's perfect- best Master since
Delgado, easily. He's mad, charming, deadly, and the anti-Doctor, equal
but opposite. Works for me. And what a Joker he'd make in a Batman movie
as well... Having said that, their phone conversation, where we really get
to see them as opposites, as old friends, as survivors... Though great it
would have been even more great if they'd been face to face.

Importantly, Simm and Tennant have that sparking off each other that Jon
and Roger did.

Still buzzing and not too coherent, both from this and a bit of
work-related (but not DW) news to make a huge or detailed review, but:

Score- fab
Direction- great
Gallifrey- Meh. A bit too Harry Potter, and I've seen better CG mountains
in 360 games.
Gunfire- Those are G36s the cops use on that hatchbakc. It'd be swiss
cheese.
Valiant- Spectrum is Green, launch all Angels!
Daleks- Thank all that's worth thanking that they didn't show up for the
cliffhanger.

I was half expecting the toclafane (?) to be the daleks. I`m still expecting
them to be something from the past. In the confidential RTD mentions that he
had it in mind to bring back the daleks, cybermen and Master in that order
and always had something in mind for S4 as well...
