I am 15 but a tall lad for my age. Me and a few friends were in Londonthat ...
weekend and John said we should all go and watch the last Doctor Whoepisode
on the big screen at Trafalgar Square.John
We went along and it was very busy. There were some very odd looking
characters there but everyone seemed very nice! It was so busy, I lost
and the other lads in the crowd, but a nice man said he would help melittle
find
them. He gave me some Cider to drink and after half an hour I felt a
drunk. It was nearly time for Doctor Who to start so we sat down to watchanother
it. About half way through I felt his hand on my leg...rubbing it up and
down. "Do you like that?" he said.
I didn't know what to do and was a little embarrassed. "Not really..." I
stammered.
"It's okay you know" said the man. "After all Captain Jack is like me and
he's a cool guy isn't he?"
I liked Captain Jack so I guess it must have been okay and besides I
couldn't see my friends. The man said his name was Vince and gave me
can of Cider. He said he had loads of old Doctor who episodes back at hisand
house and he and some of his friends were going back to watch them later
I could go with them.I
I didn't really want to go with him....I just wanted to find my mates and
was feeling a little uncomfortable. Vince offered me a tablet and said itI
was okay to take it but I said "no". I told him I was only 15 and I don't
think my parents would like it if they found out. Vince asked me when my
birthday was and I told him it was next month. He said he was sorry I
couldn't make his Doctor Who party but said he would have another one in
4
weeks and I could come to that one instead. It would be okay to drink
alcohol then as long as I was in his house as I would be 16. He even said
could bring my friends as well!he
I suddenly saw John through the crowd. He had tears in his eyes!
"Come on mate let's just go home..." he said.
"What's the matter John? What's happened?" I asked him, but he didn't
tell
me. He never told me. We just went back to the Tube and went home and he
refused to tell me why he was so upset even in School on Monday. He said
wouldn't go to Vince's house with me and told me not to go either. I'mstill
thinking about it though as he has loads of classic Doctor Who stories toto
watch and loads of autographs to show me....there can't be anything wrong
with that can there?
Sadly -although the above is pure fiction - is there anyone here who can
tell me categorically that events like those described above are unlikely
take place on that day??? Would you let your 15 year old son/
nephew/neighbour attend on their own? It must be "safe" surely because
homosexuality is an accepted "normal" part of today's society and it
would
be bigoted and homophobic to say otherwise (wouldn't it?)
Baz
What does any of this have to do with Sylvester McCoy?
Lol....unfortunately I can't dump ALL of society's moral problems at McCoy's
doorstep. Granted he can be blamed for starting the slide though.
