I enjoyed this a lot tonight. The science was dodgy but that`s par for the
course with Who ( classic and new ) but it was a tense, exciting 45 minutes

Rubbish. The science in the original series was for the most part plausible
whereas in the new series Gayviews has totally ignored the laws of science
altogether and talked complete crap because his conception of the original
series is based on popular parody rather than on reality.

of family drama. People claiming it to be a rip off off Sunshine are off
the mark as this was almost certainly written before the writer had any
idea of that film ( which has only recently come out ). No CGI monster,
just a man in a mask which is what many were asking for afeter the last
episode, a tight well paced script that, although cliched, compares in
style to the Hinchcliffe era.

No it doesn't. Its a lame attempt to copy ST TNG and 24.

A sun that`s alive...sure it`s stupid but if you`re looking for hard SF
you should have given up on Dr Who when you were 8 years old and started
reading books.

Rubbish. Hinchcliffe would never have contemplated such an idea without
explaining why a sun, which is nothing more than a nuclear fusion reactor
could develop not only intelligence but supernatural powers to possess
peoples minds and bodies. Even stupider than that, why should it give a
stuff about people scooping up its hydrogen when hydrogen is the most
abundant element in the universe and one atom of it is not different to any
other, its like getting pissed off by the water company recycling your
urine.

I wonder if RTD is trying to be a magician.
