I definitely agree. While I can see how people can get caught up in
the "guilty must be punished" angle (no matter what belief system),
I hope I never have such an experience to where I'd take glee in the
pain or death of another.

I obviously missed the bit in the New Testament about Jesus and
the disciples sitting around sniggering amongst themselves about
how everyone else was going to burn in Hell (with lots of
imaginative and predominantly sexual tortures described in loving
detail).
