I'm thoroughly pissed-off with this 'alternate dimensions' crap.
It seems you can do anything you like in this dimension, cos if anything
goes drastically wrong, you can just borrow the 'alternative', particularly
as these 'alternative' dimesnions seem like a piece of piss to travel to and
from - every bugger's doing it now. Re-invent Cybermen, get Rose's Dad back,
wipe out Daleks and just bring them to life saying they've been 'hiding in
the void'.
What else is in there? Be no surprise at all to get our 'alternative'
TimeLords, Master, even Doctor next season. And if they get killed-off, just
pull out another one. The Doc says there's 'thousands' of them kicking
about. Yet according to JonDoc in Inferno, it's absolutely impossible for
residents of these dimensions to travel between them - he couldn't save
alternate Liz etc. when their Earth was destroyed. Or I suppose the Time War
has changed all that, and now any magical solution is possible.
