On-screen, Liz Shaw never even so much as set foot inside the TARDIS.
The Doctor's work on the console all took place outside the ship (never
did figure out how he got it through the doors without a working
chameleon circuit to make the doors bigger! :-D ).

That said, I've always been willing to assume that she did at least get
to see the inside of the thing. The Doctor liked and respected her, and
was relying on her to help him fix the console. I'd be surprised if she
never got a tour of the ship she was helping to fix.
