Re: A few questions about Dr.Who

Ok, so eons ago, I loved Dr.who... I grew up on the Tom Baker era, then lost
interest after Peter Davidson regenerated (by that time I was heavily into

i see..... I have a few questions.

1) Have the Daleks ever fought the Cybermen?

Not according to the Wikipedia article on Cybermen. It would seem a
cheap gimmick to feature both villains in a story to introduce a war
like that now, though there were rumours flying around that that might
be the subject of the finale this year. There hasn't been any serious
suggestion that the Daleks will appear in the story, but it's not
impossible they'd be alluded to in that case.

2) I know we keep hearing how the current doctor is the last timelord, which
episode will I need to watch to see how they all died out.

It's not covered specifically in an episode - the episode that comes
closest to revealing it is "Dalek" last year (which is well worth
watching for other reasons), but it's implied that it happened during
the Eighth Doctor's period.

3) Are we ever going to meet up with the Master again?

Depends if anyone wants to bring him back. RTD, the current producer,
apparently has no plans to bring back the Master, but then his original
story arc was envisaged to be his only appearance before the original
actor to play him died, but they decided to bring him back at the end
of the Baker era. However, there's no need to bring him back and no
questions to answer about where he's gone if he doesn't, since he was
killed off in the TV movie.

4) And last but not least, what do we all think of this Tennent fellow, he
seems to play a darn good doctor in my opinion.

I've only seen his first two episodes, and I still find myself thinking
of his lines in Eccleston's accent - he hasn't done enough to give his
character a distinct personality yet - it looks as though the producers
want to make him different, just not very different. As for Tennant
himself in the role, he makes me think of what Peter Davison would have
been as a Doctor had he been vaguely memorable.
