Obviously you didn't know that Eccleston's also to be back in "Star Wars"
this fall when the original theatrical versions are re-released on DVD. (I
think he played Guido. Anyway, as it should be Han shoots first. Again.)

Eh? Eccleston was about 12 when Star Wars was being made!
I'm joking of course. You trimmed away the message that contained jokes
about CE being everywhere in brief sci-fi roles.
Didn't Woody Allen make a movie with that theme? Some guy kept showing
up in all kinds of historical pictures?
Yes, because if Eccleston becomes the one shot boy of the sci-fi world it
would make him it's "Zelig".
I wish him well though some people seem to have put a hatin' on him because
he only committed to do the one season or series as the Brits call it.
Honestly I expected the revival of Doctor Who to suck and suck hard but
despite the uneven nature of some of the stories it was a real winner and
fans owe Eccleston a big thank you. That he didn't want to commit himself to
more than the one season is his business. It worked out great.
I would hope they could think of a way to bring him back for something about
the Time War as a prequel to his lone season. Though I thought TVM was awful
maybe they could get Paul McGann to do something meaningful along the lines
of the moment when he realized Gallifrey was lost. That's a HUGE moment to
be glossed over so lightly.
In that way they could maybe do a different sort of three Doctors show
without it being the same sort of goofier reunion thing they've done in the
past.
