Various media sources are reporting on an upcoming children's show
starring K-9, the robotic dog from the 4th Doctor era (who is guest
starring in the upcoming Doctor Who episode "School Reunion"). The sources
do not say who will provide the voice or when it will premiere, but it is
not a BBC production. Jetix Europe (with branded kids programme schedules
on cable/satellite channels in many parts of the world) is behind the
project.
Yeah, Bob Baker and David Martin have been in talks about some kind of
animated K9 series for some time. Mind you, Terry Nation tried to get a
Dalek spin-off series off the ground in America for some years, and Mark
Ayres has even got as far as recording the sound track to an episode of a
proposed Dalek animated series.
