Just seen TCI - thoughts (and possibly spoilers)

I've just seen 'The Christmas Invasion' (via YouTube - it hasn't been broadcast
here in Australia yet). Very good, I thought. As a fan of the classic series,
though, I have to keep reminding myself that this is the same series that
starred Hartnell -> McGann. I had a similar reaction with 'Rose'.
Just a few things I noticed;
Mood swings - look at the Doctor before and after he kills the Sycorax leader.
He goes from 'there's always a Satsuma' to 'that's the kind of man I am'
instantly. Does the same after Harriet Jones blows up the Sycorax ship.
Script - fantastic. Especially when Harriet meets the new Doctor.
Product placement - When Harriet & co are looking at the medical records, watch
the computer screen carefully. A couple of times, you'll see what appears to be
a media player control panel on the bottom of the screen. It's the ASUS DVD
player program, and it's set to the same skin I'm running on my machine.
Lookalikes - Watching the trailer for season 2 at the end, it strikes me that
aside from the first shot of her, Sarah Jane Smith looks a lot like Harriet
Jones. The resemblence is particularly strong in the clip of SJS discovering
the TARDIS.
Great to see the Doctor back in action!
